The manuscript has three chapters and one layer running underneath.
- Story is the message and visual identity.
- System is the technical infrastructure.
- Send is the disciplined act of putting work into the world on a schedule, usually in the form of a podcast, which we’ll explain.
- Scale is the measurement, and it starts on the first day your website is live.
The methodology
Story, System, Send, and the Scale layer underneath. The shape of the whole partnership on one page.
Chapter 1—Story
The founder’s conviction, surfaced and shaped into effective marketing.
The thesis
One page arguing why the partnership should exist, written as a claim that can be wrong. Everything else serves it.
Field notes
Longer essays on marketing, patience, and craft. The thinking behind the Snapmarket method.
How to read this site
Each chapter has an overview page that explains what the chapter is for and when it typically happens, then a page for each section inside it, then a page for each piece of work that section can produce. Read the overview if you want the shape. Read the sub-pages about individual units of work called “pieces” when a specific piece is on your calendar and you want to know what your week looks like. Every piece page answers the same four questions in the same order.- What this is.
- What we need from you.
- What you will have when it is done.
- How long it usually takes.

If you are reading this as a prospective partner and want to talk about what this would look like for your company, we would be glad to hear from you.
This site describes how we work in general. Your partnership has its own scope, cadence, and priorities, all of which are set in your proposal and revisited in the monthly audit. Where the two differ, your agreement governs.
